There is so much going on right now, and I can’t do much about a lot of it. So, I do what I can, and try not to worry too much about the rest of it. Sometimes that seems like I am putting head in the sand, but I really am not. I am aware of what is going on, and I am choosing to not fret over things I cannot do anything about. I let go of things that are not in my control, which is most things.
I am doing everything I can to keep me, my family, and others as safe as possible. I rarely go out, and when I do, I wear a mask and socially distance. I watch about 1 1/2 hours of news each day – usually a 1 hour show, and a couple snippets of others. That’s enough. More than that gets me riled up and scared. That doesn’t help me or anyone else I love, so it is not worth it. My aim is to be informed, not terrified.
It is important to do what you can do. Everyone’s safety depends on it.
