Health Insurance Companies

I am fighting my insurance company – kind of. It’s hard to say you are fighting when the company doesn’t even respond to you. I send an email, and someone responds with totally different information than I ask for, like they didn’t even read what I wrote. It makes me think they are stupid, but I fear the reality is worse – they know what they are doing – they are just trying to drag things out and wear me down so that I will just go away. Or they just plain don’t respond at all, once again running the clock out, or just making me so frustrated that I quit pursuing the issue.

Health insurance companies (in general – there may be a decent one out there somewhere, but I never heard of one) are in the business of making money, not helping you with your health. So they do their best to deny any claim they can, thereby keeping their money. Of course, that means that you don’t get the medicine or procedure you need, but they don’t care, as long as they make money.

I have been trying to get someone at the company to answer my questions for quite some time. I actually gave up for several month – the stress was killing me. I am going to try again this morning…wish me luck!
