Do something

I never wanted this blog to be about politics, but here we are. I don’t know how much longer we are going to be able to survive as a country. We have a man in charge who thinks he is a king, if not a god.

I read somewhere that history would not treat him well. My first thought was, “there isn’t going to be any history if he continues on his path.” Though, of course, in future years people may talk of the year that the people of the old United States of America elected a liar and a fraud as president, and that was the end of that democratic experiment.

It is past time for the people who represent us in Congress to stand up for what this country stands for. It should not matter if you are a Democrat, a Republican, while, black, or green – your job is to uphold the Constitution. Of course, it is also his job, and he took an oath to do it, though it is becoming abundantly clear that he doesn’t even know what it says, much less understand it.  If he will not do his job, Congress MUST do its.

I guess this should be directed mostly to Republicans – I know you wanted to win, and I know that most of you didn’t want to back him. It is time to grow a spine and stand up for ALL the people of this country. I am begging all of Congress – please do something before  it is too late.
