I got my Covid booster shot a couple days ago. The shot itself was uneventful – I didn’t even feel it. I did fine at first. My arm was sore, and I was very tired, but that’s it.
After about 24 hours, it got a little worse. I was so tired, I could barely keep my eyes open. I had to sleep on my right side, as I couldn’t stand the pressure on my left arm, where I got my shot. I went to bed at 8:00, and actually didn’t get up at all until about 6:00 am. I never had a fever.
When I woke, I was fine – my arm wasn’t even sore anymore.
It wasn’t fun, but it wasn’t horrible either. I know some people experience even less side effects than I did, and some people may experience more. And I am very happy that I have now received my booster as I feel about as protected as I can be. I will continue to mask in public places, to keep others as safe as I can.
If you don’t want to get a vaccination, then don’t. But please stay away from others if you don’t. You may be sure that you would survive a bout of the Covid-19, and for your sake I hope you would. But please be aware that you could pass it on to someone who might not be as lucky. You do have a right to not get vaccinated; you also have a responsibility to not make others ill.
