I am tired of people trying to make others adhere to their beliefs. I am totally fine with you believing whatever it is you want to believe, just leave me out of it. I believe what I believe, and sometimes I don’t know what I believe, but I am working on it. In the end, it is none of your business.
We have no state religion here because the founding fathers did not want a state religion. They wanted a country where people were free to believe in what they believe in, or to not believe in anything at all.
If you want to believe in a flying spaghetti monster, then by all means do. But don’t try to stop me from believing in a crazy bearded squirrel, if that’s what I want to believe in. If you believe you aren’t supposed to work on Wednesdays, then don’t take a job that makes you work on Wednesdays. But I will not allow you to stop me from working on a Wednesday, if that’s what I want to do.
You have a right to your beliefs, and they extend to the point where mine start.
Flying Spaghetti Monster! 🙂 I love that.
And I agree with you!
