What do you stand for? It’s an important thing to know. Regardless of your politics, religion, or anything else, what do believe?
I believe we are all one, and that we all don’t realize this yet. It is a concept that, once recognized by all, is going to help make this world a better place. I am not better than you, nor are you better than me. In fact, I AM you, and you ARE me. What hurts one, hurts us all. When we all believe this, we will no longer be able to do things that hurt others, because we will realize that we are hurting ourselves when we hurt others – there is no other.
We may appear to be different than someone else – we may be a different color, have different hair, or speak differently. But we all bleed red; we all care about our family and our friends.
Remember this the next time you are tempted to think, “we have nothing in common, they are so very different.” We are all one. There is no “other.”
Thanks Judy! This is what I believe too, and I do tend to forget it when I’m in conflict with people. I’m going to try to remember this more often.
