We are all one

Here is what I wish the whole world would remember: we are all one. This is true. What hurts one hurts us all. When you do that dirty deed to someone else, it is going to come back to haunt you. It may be years down the road, but eventually you will pay for it. And it might not even be in this lifetime – maybe it will be your next life, or the next one. But it WILL happen.

Maybe you don’t believe you will have another life. That’s okay – you can believe what you want. But it is kind of like gravity here on earth – it doesn’t care if you believe in it or not, and it does have an effect on you whether you believe in it or not.

Here is what I believe: kindness costs nothing, so I will take the kind road whenever I can. As corny as it might sound, I try to treat others the way I want others to treat me. This doesn’t mean that I am immune from bad things happening to me, or that I am always successful at being the person I want to be. I do try, however, and I sleep pretty good at night knowing that I have tried my hardest.
