Please let me feel what I am feeling. I know that things will get better; I know that I won’t always feel this way. I also know that it is important for me to understand what I am feeling now.
There is a lot happening in my life right now; I am confused and scared. I appreciate the thought behind trying to cheer me up, but it is important to me that people acknowledge my reality. Maybe what I need is to have my reality recognized, and then to be reminded that what I feel right now is not how I will always feel.
I appreciate that you still try.
