Are you in a transition – job change, child leaving home, getting divorced – that you could use some help to get through? Do you feel stuck in a situation, and can’t seem to find your way out?  Sometimes what you need is a different perspective. Here are some questions to ask yourself that might help change your perspective:
-
Is what I know to be true REALLY true? Is it time to challenge my assumptions?
-
Is there something that I am not admitting to myself here? Is there something I am not seeing, or not admitting to seeing?
-
Will this matter in 5 years? Am I spending time on things that really matter, or not?
-
What are my choices here? I am always in choice – I get to decide. Which way do I want to go next?
-
What/who would I be in this situation if I could be anything I wanted to be?
These are great starting places. Answering these questions can help you gain that different perspective you are looking for. In future posts I am going to look at each of these questions separately, and I invite you to join me and add to the conversation.
So now I really would like you to answer my question with a question of your own. Are there any questions that you find useful to ask yourself when you are trying to see things differently?
